Antialiasing in time.

The even scanlines in a field rendered image represent a different time
from the odd scanlines.  One set, called a "field," is 1/60 sec (or 1/50
sec) ahead of the other.  TV and video display images this way (even-odd-
even-odd, not frame-frame-frame).
